An eye for value creation

Improving patient experience is a crucial step towards human-centered care and value creation in terms of efficiency, quality, and customer loyalty. Using the iCare ST500, improves both office efficiency and patient management the moment the examination begins.

Designed for slit lamp use

The iCare ST500 makes IOP measurement an integral part of standard slit lamp use. It's compatible with the majority of the most common slit lamps with an 8 mm focus rod mounting hole. Probe installation is easy with the provided applicator. The SmartCradle houses an adapter for the tonometer, probe applicator, probe box, and an optional remote control. The ST500 can be conveniently paired with a Bluetooth printer.

Optimal workflow: time-savings, accuracy, and comfort

The iCare ST500 ensures clinical workflow, efficiency, and comfort for the patients. Due to our rebound technology, the patients barely notice the measurement. The device removes the need for topical anesthesia, fluorescent dye, disinfection, or calibration. The gentle rebound touch of a disposable probe makes the acquisition barely noticeable to the patient, with no harm to the cornea or impact on later diagnostics.

Quick Measure — a faster way to measure IOP

The Quick Measure mode requires only two or three rapid individual measurements instead of the standard six, resulting in a shorter test time — this faster way to measure is particularly beneficial in challenging measuring situations. Repeatable and accurate measurements are captured easily.

Reliability for every measurement

The iCare ST500’s calibration-free rebound technology, combined with the slit lamp mounted design that optimizes patient positioning, eliminates subjectivity. What you get is accurate, repeatable, and prompt IOP results — ensuring unparalleled patient experience and workflow. The results are shown with precise digital numbers on the screen. Due to the disposable probes, there is no need for time-consuming disinfection and sterilization procedures between patients.

Testimonials

  • The ST500 is particularly valuable when examining children or uncooperative patients, as the measurement is barely noticed and causes no corneal damage. The use of disposable probes eliminates the risk of cross-contamination, further improving safety in busy clinical settings.

  • As an ophthalmologist in a high-volume clinic, the new iCare ST500 rebound tonometer has become an invaluable asset in my daily practice. This device allows for quick and accurate measurement of intraocular pressure without the need for anesthesia or air puffs, significantly enhancing patient comfort. It delivers consistent and reliable readings within seconds, even for anxious or uncooperative patients.

  • Rebound tonometry is a great alternative to the Goldmann applanation tonometer in both screening and follow-up of glaucoma patients. It is a very reliable technology with a wide range of clinical applications and its use has become widespread in our practices.
