iCare USA has received FDA clearance for its next-generation self chronometer, the iCare HOME2.
iCare USA says the HOME2 tonometer allows patients to collect real-world IOP data at any time to help support glaucoma management. Most patients can utilize the HOME2 on their own by following the smart light guide and the interactive display screen. The device’s new design also allows IOP measurements to be taken while the patient is supine, reclined, and sitting.
The data measured by the HOME2 tonometer is stored in cloud-based software called Eye Care Clinic. The software reports provide healthcare professionals with an in-depth overview of changes in their patient’s IOP status. Patients can actively participate in their eye care management using the patient mobile app, which allows them to share IOP measurements more efficiently via Bluetooth using their smartphone for healthcare professional review.
The iCare HOME2 is now commercially available. For more information visit the website.
